Have your say on Sevenoaks Town Council’s proposed vision for the Town Centre via our Draft Masterplan

Sevenoaks Town Council is seeking feedback on its draft Town Centre Masterplan. The local community is encouraged to have their say by completing the survey. The Town Council officially launched public consultation on the draft Masterplan at The Sevenoaks Society’s Open Day event on 28th June 2025.

The survey will remain open until 11:59pm on 11th August 2025, after which the Town Council’s consultants will review the feedback received and produce a revised draft for final approval and adoption by the Town Council.

What will the Masterplans do?

On their adoption by the Town Council, both the Town Centre and St John’s Hill Area Masterplans* can be used by prospective developers as well as the District Council’s Planning team, to guide future development proposals and ensure they deliver the best improvements to the experience and offering of the Town Centre – for visitors, businesses and residents alike.

Amongst smaller interventions such as improving wayfinding signage, greening the Town Centre and identifying new potential open spaces, the draft Town Centre Masterplan also explores potential traffic and pedestrian movement options as well as height and design advice for potential future development sites.

The following consultation materials have been prepared and residents are encouraged to review these before responding to the below online survey. Responses will be considered by the Town Council’s consultants in their final review of the draft Masterplan, which will be amended as appropriate and then reviewed by the Town Council’s Working Groups and Committees before adoption.

Important to note is that the emerging Town Centre and St Johns Hill Masterplans do not constitute plans being proposed for delivery by the Town Council, and any emerging proposals resulting from, or related to, recommendations in either of the Masterplans will require further investigation, details and public consultation by the delivery body. The Masterplans are a spatial exploration of how the area could potentially be improved, and maximum benefit from the space gained.

*The draft St Johns Hill Masterplan was consulted on earlier this year (2025) and responses of the consultations are currently being reviewed by the Town Council’s consultants.
