Christmas in Sevenoaks - Best Dressed Windows - Festive Market 11-24 December - Panto at the Stag & more!

Carols on the Vine Bandstand on Christmas Eve

Everyone is invited to Carols on the Vine Gardens in the Bandstand this Christmas Eve organised by Vine Baptist Church from 6pm. And there's hot chocolate too!
With lights decorating the pavilion and the new lighting in the trees of the Vine Gardens, it should be a lovely way to celebrate Christmas Eve.
The Town Council is happy to provide the Vine Bandstand venue for this community event open to all.

Design a Christmas Light!

Over the last three years, Sevenoaks Town Council have held a "Design a Christmas Light Competition", where young people up to the age of 11 are encouraged to design their very own Christmas Light with the winning light being turned into a fully functioning Christmas light within the Town.

We would like to give a MASSIVE Thank You to all of the amazing Young People who sent in these wondrous designs. To celebrate all of the amazing hard work you have all put into these designs we have compiled them into a collage shown below. The winning design will be unveiled at a special lighting ceremony.

Best Dressed Window competition - follow the trail of stunning shop and business windows around the town all through the season!

One of the well-known and much-loved features of Sevenoaks in the run up to Christmas is the Best Dressed Christmas Window competition, organised by Sevenoaks Town team, which this year is sponsored by Berry & Lamberts solicitors.

Stunning Christmas windows help make Sevenoaks into a beautiful place at Christmas for shopping, visiting, and enjoying the eateries and cafes plus the Panto and shows and films on at the Stag. The windows are judged on December 3 and the winner's presentation is on December 10. Why not go round and pick your favourites!

And when it's all over... recycle your Christmas tree for charity!

The Hospice in the Weald Christmas Tree Recycling Campaign is back for its 5th year, and they have an ambitious goal: collect 2,000 trees and raise £62,000! They will be covering the following postcodes: TN1, TN2, TN3, TN4, TN5, TN6, TN7, TN8, TN9, TN10, TN11, TN12, TN13, TN14, TN15, TN16, TN17, TN18, TN19, and TN20.

About the Campaign: The Christmas Tree Recycling initiative raises vital funds for Hospice in the Weald and supports the local community. They offer a tree collection service for a suggested donation of £20 per tree, with 10% of all donations going to a local, community-based charity chosen by Hospice in the Weald.

Registration will open on Friday 15th November and people can sign up at: http://www.hospiceintheweald.org.uk/.../christmas-tree.../
Our fantastic team of volunteers will be collecting trees on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of January 2025. Registered trees must be ready for collection by 8am on 12th January, as we are unable to guarantee specific collection times or days.
Once collected, all trees are recycled, benefiting both the community and the environment!
