Feasibility Study for the Redevelopment of the Stag
In June 2025, The Town Council commissioned a feasibility study to explore the potential multimillion redevelopment of the Stag Theatre, with the aim of increasing seating capacity, enhancing its artistic and cultural offerings, and improving overall spatial efficiency.
In addition, the study presents a vision for the redevelopment of the adjacent Stag Plaza, proposing the integration of dedicated facilities for drama education. Each option considers the potential for growth while maintaining the theatre’s role as a vital community asset.

Stag freehold fundraising campaign
Sevenoaks Town Council is proposing to acquire the freehold of the Stag to secure this important community asset for current and future generations. We’re seeking donations towards the cost and are asking the community to pledge their support.
We are also proposing to cover the cost through a Public Works Loan and Town Council reserves. You are invited to have your say on this proposal.
