Regulation 19 Public Consultation
Sevenoaks Town Council has now agreed and submitted its response to the District Council’s Regulation 19 public consultation on its Draft Local Plan. This was prepared by a Working Party of Town Councillors (comprising Cllr Dr Canet, Cllr Clayton, Cllr Granville, Cllr Shea, and Cllr Skinner) and signed off by the Planning & Environment Committee on 7th September 2026. The plan pictured-right provides a summary of the proposed allocation sites, including sites lost or added since the Regulation 18 consultation.
The District Council’s consultation will close on 17 September 2026, after which comments received will be forwarded to the Independent Examiner for their consideration. More information can be found on Sevenoaks District Council’s website at www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/reg19.
Regulation 18 Public Consultation
Sevenoaks Town Council has published its full collated response to the Local Plan Regulation 18 public consultation, as approved at its full Council meeting on 8th December 2025. This was submitted to the District Council for consideration.
The following briefing documents were prepared by Sevenoaks Town Council in order to facilitate Councillors’ discussions. These have been prepared with a sole focus on Sevenoaks Town, and therefore do not provide further detail on proposals outside of the Town Council boundary.
They should therefore be read in conjunction with, and not instead of, the District Council’s draft Local Plan – particularly for those interested in matters affecting the wider District (i.e. Otford, Edenbridge, Swanley), but not Sevenoaks Town.
