Sevenoaks District Council has recently consulted on the extension Public Spaces Protection Order at The Vine, Sevenoaks, which was put in place in December 2023 to address the anti-social behaviour (ASB).
There has been a reduction of ASB at The Vine since it was implemented in partnership with Police and Sevenoaks Town Council.
A PSPO is an additional tool that gives the Police and Council Officers powers to help reduce specific anti-social behaviours. It also allows officers to issue a warning, or a fixed penalty notice for anti-social behaviour carried out by individuals. The PSPO is enforced under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Timeline
| Consultation Ends | 5 August 2026 |
| People & Places Advisory Committe (consultation results) | 10 September 2026 |
| Cabinet (consultation results) | 22 September 2026 |
If agreed at Cabinet on 22 September the PSPO can be extended for up to a further 3 years. This would be until December 2029
