Sevenoaks is a finalist in Britain In Bloom 2025!

Sevenoaks Town Council is thrilled to announce that the town has once again been selected as a Finalist for Britain in Bloom.

Sevenoaks has been chosen to represent the South & South East region in the 2025 RHS Britain in Bloom UK Finals in the Town Centre category.
Sevenoaks is one of just 44 finalists, selected from across the UK. 
Finalists will compete to be crowned winner in one of the eight categories, and one of the category winners will then go on to be named Britain in Bloom Overall Winner for 2025.
Britain in Bloom judges will visit each of the finalists in the summer of 2025 with the winners of each category announced at an awards ceremony in October.

Have your say on the future of the St John's Hill Area!

Sevenoaks Town Council is consulting on its draft Masterplan for the St John’s Hill Area.
The public consultation, open as of 9am Monday 10th March 2025, will remain open until 11:59pm on Monday 21st April 2025. Informational posters can be viewed at:
  • The Bat & Ball Centre Foyer, Cramptons Road, TN14 5DN, 
  • The windows of the former Little Poppets & Co on St John's Hill, TN13 3PE*
  • The windows of 31 Holly Bush, TN13 3TJ*

A separate consultation will be held on the draft Town Centre Masterplan later this year, with the process temporarily delayed due to potential impact of the upcoming local government reorganisations.

Young people share experiences of mental health in Youth Council report

Two hundred and fifty young people shared their experiences and views on mental health in a survey carried out by Sevenoaks Youth Council which targeted young people aged 11–18 in the Sevenoaks town area. Now the Mental Health Survey Report has been published, after the survey ran for two months closing in November 2024. The questionnaire was distributed through local schools and youth organisations in the Sevenoaks town area, accompanied by posters signposting available support.
